Abstract

One of the most significant messages of religions particularly Islam, is justice, freedom, equality and emancipation from discrimination and injustice among human beings. The aim of the present paper is to investigate the attitude of one of the religious movements, namely " Iranian Call and Reform (Daavat & Eslah) Organization" towards women. Research was conducted according to the ethnographic method. Data were collected through semi-structured interview with 30 active members of Iranian Call and Reform Organization in Sanandaj. The results indicate that the organization has adopted a new approach about women and separate itself from national and religious traditions. This movement by adopting a new interpretation from "feqh" and religious texts, aims to support women's rights and criticize the current condition of women in Kurdistan. This movement recognizes the Islamic approach as the best method to support and protect the women's right.
