- "Social Sciences in Iran: Accomplishments & Challenges" Congress, 19-20 May 2010, Tehran

“The Iranian Sociological Associations is holding the “Social Science in Iran: Accomplishments & Challenges” Congress on the 29 and 30th of Ordibehest 1389 (19 and 20th of May 2010), along with the biennial general assembly of the association, aiming to expand multidisciplinary knowledge concerning challenges in social sciences. This congress provides an opportunity to propose and evaluate the views of social science theorists in Iran. We hereby invite academics, experts and researchers to participate in this congress and present papers on the topics mentioned below.

Objectives:

* Evaluation of social science accomplishments in the country

* Identifying current problems and challenges of Iranian social sciences

* Expanding discursive connections in the domain of the development of social sciences in Iran

* Development of interactions between social science associations in Iran
